Hyderabad: Residents of Ameenpur have raised serious concerns over the poor condition of roads in the area, calling on the Ameenpur Municipality and the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) to take immediate action. Locals say the road has been in a bad state for several years, and the situation has worsened with the heavy rains. Due to water pooling on the roads, drivers are unable to spot potholes, leading to accidents and traffic disruptions. Citizens have taken to social media to voice their frustration and urge officials to act.

Govind Sneha posted on 'X' (formerly Twitter), tagging the GHMC Commissioner, “@CommissionrGHMC Year after year, we face the same nightmare travelling on #damagedroads of #Ameenpur. Unsafe conditions. It's 2025, yet our daily commute feels like a challenge. We demand immediate action and lasting solutions. Enough is enough. #SafetyFirst #RoadsofAmeenpur.”

Another user responded, “Very unfortunate, madam, and appreciate your post. Same situation in Kondapur also.” Tinku Sarda commented, “Yes, correct. This road has never been repaired and is always overlooked. Once it rains, it becomes a nightmare to drive. We never know when the vehicle might get stuck in a pothole.”

Chandrashekar Reddy questioned the local leadership: “@GandhiArekapudi, are you the MLA for this area? Why can’t you see our issues? @gadwalvijayainc, please visit this road with ministers and see the condition for yourself.” Another resident, Harish, added, “Gandhi Arekapudi, why are you not helping us? Why this negligence? How should we escalate this?” In a sarcastic remark, a local citizen said, “Plant some mango trees – you will find mangoes next summer.” Residents continue to await a response from authorities as the road conditions pose daily challenges to commuters.
