Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 collects over 900 crores in five days
Hyderabad: Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Pushpa: The Rule continues to rule the box office since the day it was released. And now, the film has become the fastest movie to gross the mark of 900 crores in just five days of release. The movie released worldwide on December 5, 2024.
The announcement was officially given by the Mythri Movie Makers, the producers of the film through a poster reading “An All Time record in Indian Cinema. Fastest 922 crores gross in five days world wide.”
Pushpa 2 is a pan-India movie that revolves around the life of the protagonist, Pushpa Raj, who deals with the red sandalwood smuggling. The movie is a sequel of Pushpa: The Rise, a blockbuster film released three years ago. Both the parts were directed by Sukumar who is known for his hit movies such as Rangasthalam, Aarya among other movies. Pushpa 1 also got the actor, Allu Arjun, national award for his acting skills.

While the film rakes crores of movies, the opening day of Pushpa has also become a tragic incident for a family, as 35 year old Revathi lost her life in the ruckus that unfolded on the day movie released, when Allu Arjun visited the Sandhya theatre near RTC Cross Roads in Hyderabad.
Speaking about this incident, Allu Arjun in a post mentioned, “Deeply heartbroken by the tragic incident at Sandhya Theatre. My heartfelt condolences go out to the grieving family during this unimaginably difficult time. I want to assure them they are not alone in this pain and will meet the family personally. While respecting their need for space to grieve, I stand committed to extend every possible assistance to help them navigate through this challenging journey.”
