Akhil Akkineni weds Zainab Ravdjee in private ceremony at Jubilee Hills

Hyderabad: Actor Akhil Akkineni tied the knot with Zainab Ravdjee in the early hours of Friday, June 6, 2025, in an intimate traditional ceremony at his father Nagarjuna Akkineni’s residence in Jubilee Hills.

The wedding, held at 3 a.m., was attended by close family and friends, including notable figures from the Telugu film industry. Among those present were megastar Chiranjeevi and his wife Surekha, actor Ram Charan and his wife Upasana, and director Prashanth Neel.

A grand reception is scheduled for Sunday, June 8, at Annapurna Studios. The event is expected to see attendance from top Tollywood celebrities, political leaders, and industrialists. The Akkineni family is reportedly planning the reception on a large scale.

Akhil, the son of actor Nagarjuna, had announced his engagement to Zainab on November 26, 2024. Sharing the news on Instagram, he wrote, “Found my forever. Happy to announce that Zainab Ravdjee and I are happily engaged,” along with photographs from the engagement ceremony.

Nagarjuna also shared his happiness on social media, posting on X (formerly Twitter), “We are thrilled to announce the engagement of our son, @AkhilAkkineni8, to our daughter-in-law-to-be Zainab Ravdjee! We couldn't be happier to welcome Zainab into our family.”

Akhil Akkineni, born on April 8, 1994, in San Jose, California, made his debut as a child actor in Sisindri (1994), earning a Filmfare Special Award. He later debuted as a lead in Akhil (2015), for which he won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. His film credits include Hello (2017), Mr. Majnu (2019), and the commercially successful Most Eligible Bachelor (2021). He also captains the Telugu Warriors cricket team in the Celebrity Cricket League.

This is Akhil’s second engagement. In 2017, he was engaged to Shriya Bhupal, but the wedding was called off a few months before the planned ceremony in Italy.
