Nandamuri Balakrishna's Akhanda 2 – Thaandavam officially announced!

Hyderabad: The makers of Akhanda, starring Nandamuri Balakrishna, have officially announced the sequel titled Akhanda 2 – Thaandavam, releasing a striking poster alongside the title reveal on Wednesday, October 16, 2024. The film's shoot is set to begin soon.

The film will be directed by Boyapati Srinu and produced by Raam Achanta and Gopi Achanta, with music composed by Thaman S. The crew also includes Koti Paruchuri, C. Ram Prasad, Santosh D. Detaka, As Prakash, Harish Katta, Tammirajii, and Vamsi Shekar.

The announcement was shared on the official Instagram account of Nandamuri Balakrishna, who stars in the film. His post read, “After a hat-trick of sensational blockbusters—Simha, Legend, and Akhanda —now BB4 is Akhanda 2 – Thaandavam. This time, the epic massive combination will cause a divine vibration globally. Shoot begins soon.”

Following the announcement, Balayya fans have expressed their excitement, with many commenting that they can’t wait for the release. Phrases like "This is the real festival" and "Jai Balayya Babu" have flooded social media, showcasing the anticipation surrounding the film.

The original Akhanda, released on December 2, 2021, was an action drama that received mixed reviews but became a massive commercial success, grossing over Rs. 150 crores worldwide. It emerged as the second highest-grossing Telugu film of the year and marked the highest-grossing film in Balakrishna's career. The film was also featured at the 53rd International Film Festival of India in the Indian Panorama mainstream section.

Fans are eagerly looking forward to Akhanda 2 – Thaandavam, hoping it will live up to the legacy of its predecessor.
