MIM MLA makes surprise visit to Petlaburj govt maternity hospital

Hyderabad: All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) MLA Mir Zulfeqar Ali paid a surprise visit to Modern Government Maternity Hospital (MGMH) Petlaburj after receiving complaints about the alleged corrupt activities at the hospital.

The MIM legislator interacted with the patients and patiently heard their concerns. He then met with the doctors at the hospital and told them that he had received several complaints from the patients who told him that the hospital staff demanded a fee from them before releasing the newborns from custody.

Zulfeqar Ali warned the hospital staff of strict action if they continue to extract money from the patients. Seeing the MLA in the hospital premises, a few attendants approached him and claimed that the hospital staff ask for money during the visiting hours too.
