“Dr. Nageshwar Reddy and AIG Hospitals have brought pride to Telangana with their clinical excellence and pioneering work in gastroenterology,” said the Chief Minister. “We are eager to collaborate with institutions like AIG for initiatives that improve access to healthcare across the state. I am especially impressed by the Janani Mitra App developed by AIG’s Centre for Artificial Intelligence & Innovation, and we are open to exploring its use in strengthening maternal health services.”

Located in Banjara Hills, the new facility will offer a broad range of medical and surgical specialties. It features twin hybrid cath labs with integrated imaging systems, fully modular operating theatres, advanced CT and MRI diagnostics, and dedicated GI endoscopy suites.

Dr. Nageshwar Reddy said the new branch would uphold AIG’s founding principles, clinical excellence, academic focus, and patient-centered care. “Our goal is to make high-quality, advanced healthcare more accessible. This hospital is built to support not just treatment but also education and research that will shape future generations of medical professionals,” he said.

The hospital will house Centres of Excellence in GI Sciences, Cardiology (including Pediatric Cardiac Surgery), Liver Sciences, Pulmonary Medicine, Neurosciences, Renal and Bladder Sciences, among other specialties. Its design includes patient-friendly infrastructure, critical care units, and an environment aimed at holistic recovery.

A key feature of the new facility is the AIG Centre for Artificial Intelligence & Innovation. The centre will integrate AI tools into clinical practice to improve diagnostics and patient care. Among the tools being developed are PRISM, a structured voice-enabled electronic medical record system; an AI-based Polyp Detection Tool for early cancer identification; and a Sepsis Prediction Tool for critical care units.

“With the Centre for AI & Innovation, we aim to use technology to enhance clinical outcomes,” said Dr. Reddy. “These tools are designed to support doctors in making timely, informed decisions that can save lives.”

PVS Raju, Vice-Chairman of AIG Hospitals, called the Banjara Hills branch a strategic move to strengthen the hospital’s presence in central Hyderabad. “This expansion allows us to serve more people without compromising on the standards AIG is known for,” he said.
