ACB arrests Irrigation Officer in Patancheru for accepting Rs 1L bribe
Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested T. Ravi Kishore, Assistant Executive Engineer in the Irrigation Department, Patancheru, Sangareddy District, on April 4, 2025. Kishore was caught demanding a bribe of Rs 7,00,000 and accepting Rs 1,00,000 from the complainant in exchange for issuing a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for land in Gummadidala Village. The NOC was to confirm that the land did not fall under the Full Tank Level (FTL) or Buffer Zone at Erra Cheruvu.
The bribe money was recovered from the dashboard of the accused's car, which was registered with the number AP 09CQ1026. The money was tested and confirmed to contain chemicals, indicating it had been used in a bribe transaction.
Kishore has been arrested and is being produced before the Principal Special Judge for SPE and ACB cases at Nampally, Hyderabad. The investigation is ongoing.
