Hyderabad: BRS working president and former Telangana minister K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) walked out of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) office on Monday evening after being questioned for nearly eight hours in connection with the Hyderabad Formula E race case.

KTR arrived at the office at 10 a.m. and remained inside until late evening. ACB officials questioned him over the alleged diversion of ₹55 crore from the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) to Formula E Operations (FEO) without due approvals.

Despite speculation, KTR did not speak to the media after the session. He left the premises quietly and proceeded straight to Telangana Bhavan.

There, he was received with chants and applause by party workers. BRS leader Harish Rao greeted him with a hug, symbolising party solidarity amid the ongoing investigation. The gathering caused a brief commotion, and police remained on alert to control the crowd and ensure security.

Earlier in the day, KTR had posted on social media: “I will never be deterred by your enquiries, commissions and political vendetta. We @BRSparty will continue to expose the hollowness of #420 promises, deceptive declarations and never-to-be-trusted Six Guarantees. Bring it on Revanth.”

KTR has denied any wrongdoing and has described the case as politically motivated. He had previously appeared before the ACB in January 2025. The Telangana High Court later permitted him to have legal counsel present during questioning. His January petition to quash the FIR was dismissed, allowing the investigation to proceed. KTR’s questioning on Monday is the latest development in the ongoing probe.
