6-year-old boy crushed under tipper on way to school in Bowrampet
Hyderabad: A six-year-old boy tragically died after a tipper ran over him. He was on his way to school with his mother in Bowrampet on Friday.
According to the Dundigal police, Abhimanshu Reddy, a first-class student at Geetanjali International School, was pillion rider on his mother’s two-wheeler. The incident happened near Pallavi School Junction. The family hailing from Nizamabad migrated to the city and is residing in Akasha Layout, Mallampet.
CCTV footage showed the mother driving parallel to the tipper when a vehicle ahead slowed down. While she controlled her bike, the tipper nudged it. This made her lose her balance and fall.
Tragically, Abhimanshu came under the wheels of the heavy vehicle and died on the spot. The Dundigal police filed a case and shifted the body to Osmania General Hospital for a post-mortem. Investigations are underway.
