Hyderabad: The Tellapur Neighborhood Association (TeNA) has launched its third annual sports competition, which began on January 25, 2025. The event, set to last for three months, aims to foster community spirit and promote physical fitness across the region.

Over 1,500 participants from 73 gated communities in Tellapur, Nallagandla, Narsingi, Kokapet, Manikonda, and Mokilla are competing in various sports, including volleyball, throwball, chess, carroms, table tennis, badminton, tennis, and cricket. Participants range from 11 to 80 years old, making the event inclusive for all age groups.

Today, tennis and throwball competitions were inaugurated, with around 200 players participating in tennis and 125 players participating in throwball.

Eswarigari Ramana, President of TeNA, highlighted the event’s dual purpose with Hyderabad Mail. “These sports competitions not only promote physical fitness and mental alertness, but they also help create a harmonious environment among residents, strengthening community bonds,” he said.

Since its inception two years ago, the competition has grown significantly. This year’s event highlights the power of sports to unite residents from diverse backgrounds and foster mutual respect. TeNA’s ongoing efforts aim to build strong, connected neighborhoods through sporting events.
